Man, this started as just some simple incest comic with questionably aged characters and now it's weirdly fucking deep and the characters are soo believable and three dimensional that I always get blindsided when it gets back to the sex bits because I forget this is a porn comic!

I was thinking more like Jayden was his first relationship. Something happened between them and Keith moved on to Serah and Seb's mother. After...whatever happens to her happens, Jayden stops by to lend an ear (no pun intended, don't you dare) and comfort Keith. After some time together again, they rekindle but don't want to make it seem like Keith is attempting to replace their mother with Jayden. Now we're here.

Similar thoughts along these lines for me as well…, though I don’t think mom’s died… left is more likely.

After all, this chapter we did discover that Keith and mom didn’t get married until the twins were five years old. Was their conception and accident (with Keith really more attracted to Jayden the whole time)?

He looks like he's thinking on his own advice and wondering if he wants Jayden to be more than...whatever exactly she is.  Like it looks like he wanted her to be some time ago and that chance was lost but he never fully moved on (and from Jayden's actions, she didn't either). It says something, I don't know what, that he'd keep those pictures there. Not just because that's a place most people open a lot when they're driving, but the picture of him and Jayden can clearly be seen behind the picture of him and his family, where anyone could see that picture and wonder what it is, so he's not even keeping it very hidden.

The whole comic went by without any outright sex (though not without lewds, and no denying that's one of the reasons we're here), just plot and character development, and by the time it was halfway through, I was wondering if it could actually keep it up for the rest of the comic and stay good.

As far as I'm concerned, it did.  In fact, it kept getting better, and now their dad and even the woman who was just some smug prostitute when introduced have gotten a big hit of development.

If this is setting up for part 2 or Saturday Mornings being "the flashback episode near the end of a series," the kind that's told entirely or at least mostly in flashbacks, ex. "Yesterday Morning," that finally answers most of the ongoing questions and puts most of the story in a new light...

That might put this as my favorite furry comic of all time.

Jayden is indeed lovely, but Seb's and Serah's mom is exceptionally sweet...Oh, BTW: THE END??!!??

Or, from what he was saying in the previous pages, it sounds like maybe he was with Jayden first. They had some kind of fight, keith thought it was over, ended up sleeping with Seb and Sarah's mom, she got pregnant, and even though he wanted to go back to Jayden he felt like he had to make things work with their mom to give them a stable home?

He looks a bit younger in the 2nd picture with Jayden than he does with the wife and kids, and since we can't see his ear in the first picture, it's hard to say when exactly he lost it, but the picture of Jayden also seems older because of the wear and tear on it vs the one with his wife and kids.

So I have to assume his relationship with Jayden was first.

He mentioned that somtimes relationships just click, others they have a fight and can't get past it, and then others you have to work hard at. But he mentioned that even though he and seb's mom eventually got past their fights, he could have been talking about his initial relationship with Jayden.

They thought it was true love at first, had some kind of fight, couldn't get past it at the time, then he met seb's mom and going back to what I said before, ended up having unexpected children with her.

By the time he figured out that he didn't love their mom as much as he loved Jayden, it was too late and he felt like he couldn't go back.

But now that their mom is gone for whatever reason and he and Jayden had time to think over their previous argument, now they are back together, a little wiser and more knowledgeable about where their feelings are than they were before.

Or, maybe their mom was the "other woman" in his and Jayden's relationship. He mentioned he wasn't the kind of guy who runs on finding "the one", so possibly he was with Jayden first, cheated on her with Seb and Sarah's mom, and ended up getting her pregnant.

He and Jayden fought over it and couldn't get past it at first, so he stayed with their mom. But either she knew she was the other woman at first or found out about it, so that's why it took them so long to get married because they were having arguments about his relationship with Jayden as well.

So eventually he broke things off with Jayden and eventually married the kids' mom, but now they wanted to get back together now that the mom is out of the picture.

Jayden did mention that she has had a key to the house for a long time and that she has known keith since before serah could walk.

Surprised no-one's mentioned the obvious theory yet: this comic is heading for the classic "Surprise! It wasn't really incest after all!" conclusion, i.e. Keith got his ex-wife and Jayden pregnant at the same time, one with Serah, and one with Sebastien. The species difference is explained easily enough by the large number of furry universes where the child of an interspecies relationship is determined by 50/50 dice roll.

The ear is also covered in the family portrait in panel 3. Has it in the photo at the end of Thursday, and it's missing in the portrait in the hall shown earlier in this day. So.. at some point between the summer camp and that hall portrait, it's lost.

Keith and Jayden may have had a history before he got married to or even met his wife, she does mention knowing Keith longer than Seb/Serah have been alive, and IIRC he tells Seb he and his wife got married partly because she got pregnant with them.

Maybe after she passed he turned to Jayden for comfort, and it turned into something else, then he turned to drinking because he felt conflicted between wanting to start anew with Jayden and still loving/missing his wife, and one time he got drunk he got into a bar fight (perhaps over Jayden) and that explains his missing ear.

I doubt we’re going to get an explanation for the ear, and honestly it doesn’t really matter. From a story standpoint, it’s a pretty easy visual indicator of “noticeable time has passed” - sometimes a red door is just a door.

Yep, this is why this is the best comic on this site.

I genuinely didn't expect that Jayden and Keith seemingly have more of a history together that we thought.

Also noticing that the family picture looks newer than the picture with Jayden and Keith, the J & K one has more creases and the torn corner, could just be nothing, could just mean it was burried in a pocket or kept in a wallet to be hidden or something, but then again Keith almost seems younger so idk.

Speaking from personal experience survivors guilt is a real bitch and can make you blame yourself for a loved one's death despite there's no humanly possible way you could have. You question every action you took leading up to things, if you didn't ignore that detour, should have been more insistent that that minor symptom you mentioned should have been looked at by a doctor etc. If not dealt with correctly either through professional help or just dumb luck of being made aware of the condition or circumstances of the event being preexisting your "fault " you can easily throw yourself into a bottle or other less than healthy coping mechanism.

I know we have two more days to go but I genuinely don't want their story to end when the next parts come. It really did go from just another incest comic to a surprisingly deep, intimate and sweet story. I just hope we see more of these characters in the future post-___ Mornings.

Everyone's talking about the last frame, but the second to last frame has all-too-convenient framing to *hide* his right (our left) ear. The real question is wether in that picture his ear is intact and angled down, or too short to poke out behind mom's head on account of being damaged!

Edit: in post #2670141 last panel, Keith has his ear intact. Therefore, it would have to have been the case that Keith was injured *after* the beach photo but *before* the hanging family photo in post #2872191 so it was either a fight between Keith and their mom or an unrelated accident.

I hope that all makes sense!

Its really interesting his ear in the family photo is obscured…it may or may not be there meaning we don’t actually know what time period this was…those photos could very well be around the same time.

From what I recall from seeing this on another site him having both ears fully intact in the picture there is actually an error according to someone working on the comic with the creator so it's not actually a hint to anything.

On the topic of the comic itself though, things are getting interesting. It will be nice to see what is really happening with Jayden and see if Serah and Seb can work things out. On that note though it is kind of weird to me how hard I have seen some react to Jayden possibly not being a prostitute at this point. It makes sense as a possibility with some previous clues but I don't recall it ever being stated definitively either so it can seemingly go either way, but I've seen quite a few foaming at the mouth at even suggesting she could not end up being one.

The way the characters refer to her also makes it sound like she's *really* gone, but they're still fond of her.) which means that the picture was taken before their relationship.

But is that supposed to be jayden? From the solo scetches of her I got the impression that she was a fair bit younger than Keith, almost closer in age to the kids, at least Serah's attitude towards her made it feel like that. HOW OLD IS JAYDEN???

You know, in the photo with the entire family, Keith's right ear is entirely obscured, it could be intentional that Black-Kitten obscured his ear being missing in that photo. Not saying that's true, it could very well be just how they wanted the characters to be positioned but You never know

Decided to catch up on this. Don't know what to think. Dropped the story for a bit after the whole argument scene because that happens way too much in stories, and I already know how this is going to end in that case.

Hopefully the unneeded drama scenes dies down in the future chapters, but that's just my opinion.
