Fabric softener destroys your cloths over time

Mixing coloured clothing and white clothing is only an issue on the coloured first wash, due to there might be residual dye on them, after that mix away

Cold and quick wash is just fine the only time you may need a hot long wash is if your cloths are covered in grease and oils and with that I'd wash them by them selves

Yep, plus it's possible to get a severe allergic reaction to the softener. Happens to my brother. Dryer sheets are the go-to and I've been doing that and cold washes pretty much since I started doing my own laundry. Except for bedding. That goes on warm for that sweeeeet freshness!

I don't bother with dryer sheets - what's the point in cleaning your clothes and then bathing them in phthalates?

If you know what it actually is, it's kind of gross. It's basically purified liquid fat with scents, colors, and a few more things added in. Dryer sheets are the same thing, but in a dried form on the fabric backing. The steam from drying wet clothes melts it back to a liquid, which gets smeared over everything while drying.

You can use half a cup of white vinegar to soften clothes without damaging them. Just pour it into the fabric softener dispenser like normal.

simply washing an Item once and its not 'dirty', can Destroy your clothing over time .. it gets thinner and thinner with the machine wear "washing" (RiP all my expensive 2000 surf wear)

I have to ask, does “TES CD” means a “The Elder Scrolls” CD and if yes, TES III, IV or V?

if it's a CD, probably morrowind, although mom could just not care enough to know the difference, which in this case, who knows

My immediate thought was the same thing, that it was "The Elder Scrolls" and one of the older ones that came on CD-ROM. But then I thought it must be a band or something that I've just never heard of. Now I'm not so sure.

I assumed morrowind because it was on a CD in her old laptop

If you're going to use dryer sheets, be sure to wash the lint filter every so often. Dryer sheets leave a film on the filter over time, effectively clogging it, which makes the dryer gradually start to overheat and shorten its lifetime.

Personally, I find using dryer balls to be more effective than dryer sheets.
