Primagens are bigger and more artificial than protogens, primagens can be spotted by their artificial ears and raptor-like appearance unlike the Protogens with natural ears and wolf-like paws etc.

also primagens do not have chest armor

The joke is they look very similar if you're not paying attention. Which I suppose is the point, Primagens are the "Final Product" of what a Protogen is supposed to be.

Well they aren't copyrighted or actually illegal. So anyone can own one.

Aesthetical difference is primagens are generally more feral looking. There's more to it than that but im not well enough versed.

Aside from that, the creater and his friends like to pretend primagen is a closed species, and reportedly like to attack anyone who doesn't respect it's "closed" status lol.

To be clear, there is no copyright or legal or moral protections for primagens. Just keyboard warriors.
If you want one for a 'sona or whatnot, go for it.
