AC is weird when it comes to scaling outside of its universe. If Smash is any indication they're give or take around the same height as the Inklings, Ness, and Lucas, who are all canonically children....but on the OTHER hand, Mario is also around the same height and he's canonically in his 20s.

The AC humans are adults. The games are about them moving out of their parents house to live on their own.
