Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

Description
⮚ "Feet Pics" ⮘ by RaiKuma on Twitter. Description by MrMellow.

Sometimes you just have to call a bluff.

On and off, people talk about Mike’s goods. And that’s okay! But at some point, you have to start getting back at the people who keep making jokes about them. After a certain amount of jokes made at the expense of the poor loaf, he decided that he’d had enough. After all, teases don’t work once you make them seem legit. At that point, if they keep going, the joke’s on them for actually liking it! Maybe they saw this inevitability coming. It’s not out of the question; Mike seems the type to go along with harmless, spur-of-the-moment requests.

So after the dozenth time being asked to send feet pics, Mike finally decided enough was enough. It’s not scandalous or R-rated; it’s pictures of a body part that anyone can see if he wears sandals for a walk outside! So he got out of his chat-observing chair, waddled over to a corner of his room with warm lighting, and sat down. A laughing inquiry into what he was doing with his trainer’s temporarily-stolen phone came from the doorway. Affirming that he had in fact just taken several pictures of his feet, the loaf swiped through, found the best, and sent them to his Discord account. Now, all that remained was to send them off in DMs and see if this memeing menace (or menaces, plural) will still sass him.

In reality? They probably still will. If the last example merely altered the requests from “take pics” to “send pics to me,” then this will likely spur another evolution, perhaps even beyond asking for more! It might advance to outright public simping! Payment! “Oh yeah, for $10, can your trainer film himself writing my username on them with a marker?” Sure, it'd be funny, but what life would Mike live if he started caving to such demands?

Well, a richer one, for starters.
