By my experience, it doesn't matter if a city's big or small, sometimes you get help, sometimes not, it all depends on who's near you at the time. And people tend to follow each other's example; if one passes you by without helping, other bystanders are likely to do the same. If someone stops to help, there's a good chance that you'll end up with more helpers than you actually need.

In Smallville, if you pop your hood you're gonna' have someone there to help you in less than ten minutes, without fail.

I admit... This made me realize how irritated I would be if someone would offer me a helping hand.
