Knowing Isao, probably he took his pants off before getting on the scooter.

I just want to say, that is actually Isao's brother, who I think currently has no name

so whats the rule about public nudity?

not only that why is a cub on a motorcycle what are the laws in dis universe? and does she even have enough weight to steer? (to avoid drama ill rephrase the "repeat" question IRL can a midget/"small person" operate a motorcycle do they need weight?) I'm just confused n curious

You don't need any weight to steer a bike or motorcycle. Otherwise remote control motorcycles wouldn't work.

  • I assume he means "brother [in law]"? Because otherwise that calls into question how species and genetics work in this setting.

How so they are both cats. He's not a lion. He just has more hair.

  • Don't know why but I have a feeling that Isao is not, how should I say, fondly of his brother (since he never mentioned him at all) and by seeing his brother's "straightforward behavior" and "eagerness" in getting on a bike with a pantless little bunny, tells me that Isao didn't and don't want Keiko close to him, as if in an overprotective manner.

But Isao is straightforward and eager to do things like that also, just as his brother.
Don't know, just a feeling. Have to wait and see.

  • I love her answer to his question, "why are you wearing pants?"

It makes me wonder if her town that she grew up in had indecency laws where it was actually illegal to wear clothes in public

There's an easy explanation. If you'll note, Jin is a human his father was a human and his mother is a tigress. Keiko is a lioness, her father is a (house)cat and her mother is a lioness. Therefore, we can assume that a son looks like his father and a daughter looks like her mother. So, even if Isao's brother is in reality Isao's brother-in-law, Keiko would still look like her mother.

Sure, but that's not my point: according to conventional genetics and the biological species concept, birth brothers should be the same species. And it's weird to introduce yourself by your in-law instead of your birth sibling. Kind of implies that you're atypically closer with the former than the latter.

Even by your logic: if sons inherit their father's species, Isao (domestic cat) and Tarou (white lion) must have different fathers. But it would work if Tarou is actually Ryoko's brother and Isao's in-law, assuming Ryoko's parents are both lions.

Ultimately though, this setting probably has no rules; any species can breed with any other and the kid will take after either parent, because furries. Which would make Isao and Tarou's parents a cat and a lion.
