From biology class I've heard that the brains of male primates are wired to react to the large, rounded shapes of females (dat ass), and human females have the added advantage of rounded shapes on the front as well as the back.

To elaborate on this, all tit-fancy derives from an earlier ass-fancy. Going back enough generations of apes, we used to mate, well, doggy-style, like most mammals. Having a larger, more round and filled out ass tended to mean you were better fed and therefore well-off, and able to have stronger children. Therefore, those with larger rears got more attention.

At some point in our history, we began to switch things up, no longer with a singular focus on doggy style, but on missionary as well, likely due to how our bodies were gradually changing to a more upright skeleton. Now, if you're laying with someone in missionary...what do you see instead of an ass? You see the tits, the mammaries. This tended to set off the same "attraction" males felt towards the ass, but now towards the chest. As a result, much like with the ass, larger breasts started to become a sign of better health, better social status, more well fed, etc. Thus, bigger tits meant more mass appeal on average.

There are, as with everything in life, exceptions to these general rules, but in essence, that's why the majority find larger tits and ass more appealing.
