Makes one wonder why we don't see them more often. After all, our feet are perfectly capable of carrying us around, but we started using footwear to improve their performance. No reason why anthros wouldn't do the same. I guess it's just aesthetics (paws are nice ngl).

I mean even irl it's ill advised to let your pets walk on hot surfaces. If it's hot enough to cook an egg on the sidewalk it's definitly hot enough to burn paws.. Similarly if it's too cold and say someone put salt down on their sidewalks that can cause frostbite.

Very true. After all, neither paws nor feet are designed for walking over hard concrete, much less if it's burning hot. And only a few animals are designed for being active in freezing cold temperatures.
