Didn't she specifically say the sword couldn't harm her? Either she was overconfident or that sword's buried in the emergency boat repair kit she always keeps over her heart.

I do really hope this is a fakeout. If this was really "as simple as sex" then yeah, you may have been right. But it's not. When they did the act, they reflected on their feelings for the other and concluded that this might be more than lust. Plus, they opened themselves up to one another about their backstories and motivations, showing us that they have chemestry together and that this whole situation had the potential to be concluded in a non violent manner.

Nontheless, an excellent page, albeit one that makes my heart ache.

It's honestly been remarkable to me seeing the response and connection many have had with these characters. It warms my heart it does.

In all honesty though, I really do wish Nabaul pulls a "Shrek" from that one Shrek movie where Shrek geniusly pretends to get stabbed but instead is okay as the sword is inbetween His arm and torso
