This was the controversial title in which Squilliam discovers his true parentage, driving him to commit horrific crimes such as phoning in several Krabby Patty orders he had no intention of picking up.

Fans of the Squidward Adventure series were divided on this title, citing an uncharacteristic deviation from his usual personality: specifically, there is a level in which Squilliam, confused and angry, shaves his iconic monobrow to go undercover. Fans say that this transformative choice drew attention to an oft-repeated theory, that Squilliam is basically just "Squidward, but Fancy."

In a separate cutscene, Squilliam holds an AR-15 to a photorealistic jellyfish in mock execution. This cutscene sparked outrage amongst SquidDiddlers, self-professed Squidward series megafans.
They say that this level of sadism wasn't present in original incarnations of Fancyson and indicates a cheap attempt to amp up the dark undertones of a character known broadly for being "Squidward, but perhaps Fancier."

Honestly, I think this is where the franchise really went to shit. But Squidward 06 was definitely the final nail in the coffin.

Squidward un-der the sea was a under appreciated title just because they gave Squidward his were-eel form and Squidward bubbles was also a great title on the wii, just because they weren't Squidward adventures doesn't mean their inferior titles

True, but man was their gameplay wack though. IMO the whole hack and slash thing doesn't work on a Squidward game. Maybe it would've worked on a Patrick the Star spinoff? Who knows.

Little do y'all realise that Squiliam Fancyson is actually one of the finest graduates of the world-class recognisable, Squirdward Community College. The legends say that he was such an excellent apprentice that his big ambitions and impossible talent and skills he portrayed in his music schooling may have threatened the college's exemplar, Squirward Tentacles himself. However, the legend simply cannot be true, as nobody has neither the power, nor the talent required in order to even dare to challenge the clarinet master himself...

I love the rendering of the gun in the cover. Fun fact: that gun never shows up in the actual game. It looks a lot like the Shadow Rifle you get for 100%'ing the game, except it's pretty different in-game.
