MemberWhat's this? Stolas having a wholesome family outing at the beach with his wife and daughter, and with no visible dysfunction occurring? Not something we get to see everyday, but I'm sure as heck not complaining. ;)

MemberAs wholesome as this scene looks, I can't help thinking about the dark implications of Stella shooting Stolas in the back of the head.

BlockedI'm gonna get downvoted after saying this but I need the answers after watching S2E1
WTF is this bitch's problem with Stola and the whole family???
InquisitiveInstincts
MemberMy guess it's behavior learnt from her peers and parents when she was a child on top of the needs to conform in the Goetia family. Heck, the fact that Stolas didn't wind up like his dad is incredible.
Really hope Stella gets some development at least.
InquisitiveInstincts
MemberShame that S2 E1 makes all such situations nigh impossible. I really like Stella as a villain, but I feel that she should at least have some redeeming aspects because as I stated before, not growing up to be an asshole in the Goetia family is like trying to climb Everest.

MemberI mean the scene with young Stolas having been taken to the circus with an oblivious dad does kind of mirror how Stolas took Octavia to Loo Loo Land in S1E2 and their are a couple other similarities I did notice but clearly Stolas cares a lot more about the demons in his life than his father ever did which is the key distinction.
As for Stella, depending on when her brother shows up we may very well get some backstory on her as well.
Queerbrony69
MemberI mean for me personally I feel the whole redeeming villain trope is kind of an overused trope at this point. Not saying that they can't give Stella a complex backstory to help explain why she's doing what she's doing but honestly I find it kind of refreshing that they seem to be sticking with the route of making her a straight up classic Disney type villain who revels in her villainy and not this deeply flawed misunderstood character (I think most of the main cast fill that role nicely). I suppose it's still possible that the rug might be pulled and they may make her a sympathetic character but that's going to be a herculean task given what S2E1 showed us about her.

MemberI don't really mind her being a villain. I'm just glad Stella's becoming more of a major character now. I mean she had like; what, a total of less than a minute of screen time back in Season 1?
InquisitiveInstincts
MemberNot saying she shouldn't be a villain, it's just that she doesn't feel like a good villain by my standards. Like her being a bitch "just because" feels like a poor attempt at making us hate her. The reason why I'd say so many love striker is because he's more than just an asshole, he's skilled, conniving and poses a threat to all of Hell's royalty.

MemberI absolutely agree, I was disappointed with how Stella was written in the first episode. There is still likely more to her than just being a bitchy female villain, she must have a lot of family drama and harsh standards set for her. Her own insecurities and family troubles could explain why she is being so nasty and abusive to her husband.

Stolas and Octavia deserve a happy family life.
