I am all for Melli being an antagonist, but him having a pokeball and catching pokemon is going into OOC territory. Also a Warden would recognize and know the territory of the other lords. Him showing up to complain at Lady Sneasler is fine, but him actively attacking and risking a war with the Pearl Clan is a lot different from him being an annoyance.

I don't think I made it clear anywhere, but my idea is that at this point, the Sneasler isn't considered a "Noble" yet. The comic takes place right after Ingo comes to Hisui, but before the story in Legends Arceus. Ingo brings back information about the Sneasler after this encounter, and gets tasked with being her warden after they declare her a noble pokemon.
Not that this is super important though xD Also yes it would be stupid of Melli to mess with a noble like that, even I can kinda see him do it anyway lol

I think the father was caught.. and then killed. Mel says 'Maybe I can train you' when mommy Snea doesn't put up a fight. That might mean that Mel caught Daddy Snea hoping to train him, and then killed Snea for fighting back. Momma has every right to fucking tear Melli to shreds, but she doesn't.
