No, Crookedtrees is gone and very likely isn't coming back. It's been over 4 years.

Last time I heard about Crookedtrees he/she was having financial issues and opened a bunch of "emergency" commission slots, which, for those of you who aren't familiar with the commission situation, was a terrible idea. Crooked has earned a reputation for taking people's commission money and then ghosting them. There are quite a few people still waiting on commissions from Crooked from years ago and aren't able to get a refund. Crooked's communication has always been minimal to non-existent. So my guess is as good as yours what actually happened. Needless to say, it's pretty likely Crooked is gone for good because if they come back there's going to be a swarm of people asking for refunds for undelivered commissions.

It really a shame since Crookedtrees is such a good artist.

What a bummer I had my hopes up, always liked the dark vibes of his art which are pretty much non existent from any artists without going full guro etc...

Apparently, there were some health issues, too. I really hope the worst hasn't come to them
