Ok, what does the artist mean with HRT? I know a lot of different HRT's. If it is the one I think it is than Bugs is endangering his health greatly.

I'm going to endanger your health greatly

I'd mirror the basic question, though. What does HRT stand for in this context?

as a trans woman on hrt for over 3 and a half years (Hormone replacement therapy) there is no health risks as long as you get your hormones tested by yearly and have cancer screenings every few months, after 4 years you never have to go to the doctor again and you just stay on HRT, there are no health risks unless you have prior liver damage or simmilar medical condition that will be effected by a full hormonal change.

  • I always saw him as just a crossdresser, he definitely gets enjoyment out of it. And it's more than just enjoyment out of screwing with people.

Wow, thanks for the kind words. Still thinking of reporting you. You do realize the health risks of HRT right? Here are some of the risks : Hip and vertebral fractures,Vaginal bleeding,Urinary incontinence,Dementia,Stroke, blood clots, heart attack, Breast cancer, Lung cancer, Colorectal cancer. Which btw is increased if a man gets this treatment because it is meant to treat menopausal symptoms. But I see what ideology drives you.

Wow ain't it a bitch when you do a quick google search that disproves this bs fear mongering.

I read them and they end like this:
"With the exception of a few large-cohort and long-term studies, much of the existing knowledge about the health impact of transgender HT is based on case reports. While these provide clues to effects of transgender HT, there is a strong need for future research of greater cohort size to be undertaken in order to address this critical gap."
    or
"T’Sjoen’s team does state that their results are not conclusive due to the small sample sizes and relatively short duration of the studies in this area."
I suggest to read these here:

    https://www.guidelinesinpractice.co.uk/womens-health/hormone-replacement-therapy-what-are-the-risks-and-benefits/456887.article

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT)—risks and benefits by Elizabeth Barrett-Connor

Most responsible sources also claim that you should consult your doctors before taking the risks. Amazingly a lot of people just seem to push this onto others like this was candy. Excuse me that I want to inform people about the health risks they will take. I am sorry that I care. I will leave you alone now.

You do realize that to start hrt (Like I have) you have to go to a doctor and be informed of the risks. Same way I was with my Hrt Meds, Anti Depressant Meds, and my ADHD meds? They aren't over the counter for the reason that they have side effects so stop this transphobia fear mongering bs when we as Trans people in transition on hrt already know about the risks and know about the drugs we are taking way more than you do. I also love that you point to the small amount of studies that show it safe WHEN MONITORED BY A DOCTOR but then link other articles sourcing the same studies WHICH SAY THE SAME THING as proof that Trans people on HRT are going to have health complications 100% of the time. I as a trans woman who is on HRT would rather have the risks of hrt happen to me and develope health disorders if it means that I can go ONE YEAR without Gender Dysphoria. All people on HRT are informed of the risks and have to sign a consent form. STFU that you care because you don't. You don't understand what it is like to be trans and how much it helps your mental health when you are able to go out into the world and treated as the gender you are and not the gender you are perceived to be. You don't care to actually research the topic since you post articles proving my point. The people you think are pushing HRT on people are people who are fighting for the ability for trans people to have easy access to HRT where they are informed of the risks and have to consent to it just like ANTI Depressants, ADHD meds, Chemo, and many MANY other drugs that cause side effects but will overall improve your life when taken and monitored by a doc.

No health risks you just have to constantly see a doctor in case of health risks. Riiiiight. Like you can admit there are health risks, if that’s what you want to do with your body and you’ve decided that taking that risk is worth it for your mental well-being that’s fine. But don’t lie about it. There is a big problem with people covering up the reality of transitioning and that can be harmful for people who go into it misinformed or under informed.

uh, i havent been to the doctor since i broke my ankle, ive been on HRT for 3 years now. there arent really any health risks from my experience

  • People arguing about healthy habits on e621 is probably one of the funniest things Ive seen in a while. No one here is the picture of health. Find art you like and stop arguing about things outside of your depth on a forum where you have no chance of convincing anyone to change the way they think on the matter.

Wait that shit gives you CANCER? Sounds like a risk to me. Jesus I get you wanna live your best life and all but I don't think you'll be doing that with cancer.

you can only get prostate/breast cancer in the first few years if your hormones are not regulated and if you have underlying issues, otherwise with standard medical care you get while transitioning the risk is near nothing, and after 4 years you wont have to ever go to a doctor again, just continue your HRT and any other issues you will have after that wont be related to your hormones.

The only way three people talking about trans stuff online, two of which getting in online slapfights about it, having avatars of blåhaj, possums with internet speak and glopossum art respectively could seem more like something out of an anti-sjw meme is if the one with walls of text and allcaps insults was the possum one instead of the calm comment.

  • Funny seeing transphobes on a furry porn site.

Granted, I think there should be a civil discussion about things, as there are some health risks associated with surgery and hormone therapy. However, so does pretty much everything else.

Right? I thought conservatives would have a stroke upon seeing a nanosecond of the stuff on this site.

One thing you learn about life VERY quickly is a lot of normal everyday things can cause cancer, its why the cancer warning label is on so many things in California, since they're forced to show what can cause cancer, however slight.

I saw some drugs that have side effects of DEATH. Still, we've almost got cancer beat so saying something may give you cancer is like saying eating raw chicken can give you salmanella, just with a much more expensive price tag and heal time.

As for the picture, while this is a good joke, given that Bugs crossdressed for a tactical advantage in his fights and then immediately reverted back to male bugs, I don't think Bugs is going to come out as a trans, especially given his reaction to Lola. All the trans women I know stick to being a woman all the time just as naturally as a biological woman.
