Or never install it in the first place. One of my profs who teqches psych has talked a bit about twitter and says his experience is fine and not at all horrible. According to him, it's dependant on who you talk to, your feed, etc.

I love coming here to see how people pick at this exact topic...

Tell me more about how pure and innocent you are and have never said anything racist, prejudiced, sexist, or remotely biased.

ah yes let's just ignore the fact she's totally problematic, won't change and bring her back into community cause those are obviously the type of people we need right? perhaps I may have treated her too harshly, she is now a friend and I will completely forget that she has used a hard r slur that is personally impacted to me and thousands of other people :)

which to add on to this, that's how we give this "safe community for all" a bad name but hey what do I know right?

There is a *huge* difference between getting over it and ignoring it. Getting over something is not pretending it never happened, it's being a bigger person and not letting it bother you anymore. Ignoring something is simply not paying attention to it in general, regardless of whether or not it bothers you.

If someone is judging someone based off of something they did a while back and they carry that grudge for years then they are clearly not fit to judge someone's character. She said a bad thing. Welcome to the real world. I've done it, i'm like 99.9% sure you have too. You don't have to forgive her, but you don't have to keep bashing her either. It just proves you're no better than you think she is.

You do realize this doesn't help your case in the slightest right? if anything you're practically admitting YOU'RE as bad as she is if anything, it's not that she just "said a bad thing" she is literally declaring hate speech

Uh yeah, i can admit i've said some fucked up things in the past. Apparently you're too childish to even consider the thought of admitting such a thing. Really it's absolutely pathetic how people are still on this subject a year after she's quite literally left. Years from that point people have forgiven my past opinions, even the people that said opinions spited in the past. My mind and personality have shifted since those days.

I have the capacity to take a step back, look at myself, see i was wrong, and apologize. And i have had the moral capacity to do the same for others. She had issues, we all have issues, but because hers were brought out into broad daylight we should mob her for it? She's not a perfect person but we're not dealing with a serial killer or hitler here? Racism is a serious subject and mobbing someone over it isn't going to improve their mindset, from my personal experience if anything it's only going to make it worse.

If it's such a serious issue then you would understand this isn't something you just "oh haha, sorry!" and simply "get over it" Fiddle needs to show CHANGE which clearly won't happen as she's already dug her own grave with her tweets after the screenshots leaked. We're still on this subject cause she's poses as an example of what we do not allow in this community, cute artstyle or not she is literally a BAD PERSON. If you're failing to understand this then yeah, you're literally just as bad as she is.

She apologized. It was a half assed one sure, but she could have thrown as many words behind it as she wanted too but nobody with your mindset would have believed it. At the end of the day that makes YOU just as much of an issue, because this isn't just something that can just be forgiven due to your judgemental thought process. She even explained she had issues regarding why she said those things.

LIke by all means, i know what you're saying. I've been on that side of things before. But what *exactly* would you expect her to do? Just get over it? She can't exactly go back in time to fix this.

From what i can see she's admitted she made a mistake, and she didn't shy away from the fact she said it. In all honesty, she could have literally just said "photoshop lol" and have been done with it. At the end of the day you'll have your opinion and i'll have mine. And I think that's all that needs to be said on my part from this point on lest we continue to spam the same points over and over again. Judge her if you will, but i think she's suffered enough at this point and at some point people need to understand when to call it quits.

To be honest, most of the people who act this way probably do so because they think they're actually protecting the people allegedly wronged here, i.e. protecting black people from racist statements, as if they're not smart enough or strong enough to defend themselves. Not even to mention the times where they defend them against stuff they don't actually have a problem with.

Case in point: I remember seeing a YouTube Short where someone dressed up in a stereotypical Mexican outfit and asked several Americans, then several Mexicans, what they thought about it as a social experiment. Ironically, all Americans asked thought it was a racist outfit or that it was problematic, whereas the Mexicans were completely fine with the costume.

Twitter users must be thinking they're saviors or some shit smh

Personally I don't think their thought process that what Fiddle did was wrong is wrong, holding the grudge isn't necessarily wrong in itself but it does show a severe level of immaturity and close mindedness. The thought process of acting like they're any better than her just because she was called out is what irks me beyond measure. We all make mistakes and we all have our biases and prejudices, doesn't matter what you say. And not once does anyone say "Oh i'm a perfect saint, i've never had a racist sexist or prejudiced thought" when called out. They know they'd be lying, it's human nature. I dont expect them to get over it but it would be nice, but continuing to call someone out over a year later is just childish.

*Never* act like you know someone's life because you never know what they went through to get where their thought process is now.
