The craziest thought occurred to me! What if - and hear me out - Keith and their mom were also siblings? It would explain why they looked so happy but inexplicably split up! They did appear to be a similar age… does this idea have any sort of merit?

I don't know if it's a good sign, I think it's just a matter of he's in complete shock, so he has no idea what to do. Anyone would have to have a lot to think about if they discovered their children doing that.

So the question is how much did he hear. Even if he missed the banging and only caught the tail end of their conversation, they immediately go back to fooling around and Serah starting to moan. It's pretty unambiguous that he knows.

Also, when I saw this page (and the next) I was quite shocked. I honestly didn't think BK would do this. Especially not considering there's at least one more chapter planned, and BK described the previous chapter as the "most sexless one", which implies the next one will have sex like normal. If it's not between Serah and Seb, then who? Logic would dictate Keith/Jayden.

It might be Rachelle, Serah's friend who has a crush on Seb! The two have very similar feet shapes (see below), and since she knows them both, it makes sense that Rachelle would be visiting unannounced.

Morissa (the sheep girl) was the one who thought Serah was banging her dad, and that's been cleared up last chapter. And we haven't see Rachelle since Wednesday Mornings. And she wouldn't be in their house in the middle of the night.

I'm happy dad didn't just barge in, would have started _the talk_ on an awkward note. Though if he knew his son was getting serious with a lady and his daughter wasn't home, he probably thought there was someone else in there until he heard his daughter talk.

If Keith and mom are siblings then it isn't readily obvious when you look at their family picture.

This is their house in the middle of the night, passed midnight. Who the hell other than the dad would be there? All these ridiculous guesses involving people who would have no business being there that late at night.

I feel like the theory that the parents are siblings doesn’t make a whole lotta sense because why would the dad have an issue with their relationship if he did the same thing? Plus in the family portrait we saw the parents had very different fur colors while the twins have the exact same fur color.

No it doesn't have any merit, this would be the type of thing ratcha does because their story are nothing more than a comical pornfest, in a more serious tone story like this one that would add literally nothing to the story, they look alike because they are both lynx and that is it.
Divorce happens and is not usually in good terms, also the mom could just be dead there is nothing surprising about her not being around.

She saw his feet in the door. Panel one shows that shot and she’d notice pretty quick.

I think death is more likely considering the difference between Keith in the pictures and Keith now. Probably some accident that took lynx mom from them.

I'm still betting that their mom was actually their dad's sister, and he's mortified that he allowed his kids to go the same path, but will ultimately be cool with it after a proper chat.

The reason I think this is because the dad's girlfriend seems like she's hiding some really big secret. The kind of secret that goes beyond just "Yeah your dad seems like an ass but he's just a troubled soul I promise."

Okay, I admit it was a stretch, but it was something that could explain why they split up and went separate ways without it being a typical tragedy story (and it would be interesting to see Keith fully accept their partnership, or at least have some background knowledge that stops him from being judgmental).

A more likely scenario that I envisioned is that somehow Keith either relates to them or accepts them for what they are. However, the mother no longer being in the picture does raise lots of questions. Why was Keith's ear still intact in that one photo with Jayden? My next theory that would answer that could be that Keith cheated on her, Serah found out and told mom, and mom retaliated by cutting Keith's ear. This would explain numerous things:

The photo with Jayden and Keith would make sense, since it could've been taken before he was found out. It would explain how his ear is cut, and it would lastly be a possible explanation for why Serah blames herself entirely for her mom leaving the picture! (Because why would Serah blame herself for her mom's disappearance if she died?)

My only hole in the theory is... why in the heck is Keith still paying Jayden as a prostitute? If they entertained the thought of partnership one day, why would they be so "transactional" about it? Plus, Jayden apparently has been a part of Keith's life for some time, so why would she steal from him (based on how he said "that fucking whore" after finding his wallet empty)? I really want to try and get the best possible complete theory for what might happen next!

So here's the deal: When this comic began it wasn't intended on being this long, drawn-out story arc over an entire week. In fact it was a per-page commission comic but the person who commissioned it eventually disappeared leaving it unfinished. After lots of prompting from people who enjoyed what had been done so far, BK picked it back up and adopted the characters himself.

The initial bits around that time were written hastily. Jayden was originally a prostitute. With time they (comic has a co-writer, too) decided to go back and flesh out some of the characters a bit and Jayden was one of them they wanted to do. So she's basically been retconned from simply being a hooker to someone with a checkered past who's been in an off and on relationship with Keith for years.

I've gotten in lots, and I mean LOTS of arguments on this and other sites about Jayden because there is a very vocal contingent of fans who absolutely refuse to believe she could've ever been a hooker, despite how she was originally depicted. They refused to accept that fact or that she got reconned and did all kinds of mental gymnastics to try and explain why she was never a hooker. But word from the co-writer confirmed they were fleshing her out better. So that's what happened.

This was my reasoning. Yes, I was entirely wrong and my reasons were flimsy, you don't need to worry about proving that to me!
