Also she smokes now, that fucks up the color of everything around it.

It could be smoking or age related. Just like how human hair turns silver/white as we get elderly. Trauma can make you physically age faster you know?

You can also see the progression of her eyes, in the beginning she is wide eyed and bright, ready to see and enjoy the world, but as time goes on her eyelids sink lower and lower until we see her as she normally is.

just occured to me that this whole experience is (probably) why she prefers humans and it isnt just a little character quirk :(
