MemberSo British accent. Noice. Also yes it is absurd. After all most depictions don’t have men with hyper swollen pecs. They either just have a natural attractive figure, worked for that figure, or just used polymorphic magic to change themselves.

MemberAbsurd. Magic is just like any other form of energy, except that it's more easily converted into other forms of energy, as well as into matter. Of course, that does mean it can be "stored in the boobs", but that's not necessarily always the case. Theoretically, it could be stored as muscle mass, or fat, or a form that resembles a tumor... But something so unsightly would hardly be ideal. Magic is most likely stored in the everywhere.
...'Course, that's from the perspective of a shapeshifter, so that might not exactly be the case for everyone...

MemberYou know what?
I'm not even gonna question it.
That's my headcanon for magic from now on.

MemberIf I may add to this, you could burn some magic to turn it into the stereotypical and extremely dense “mana crystal” for storage, and then convert it back when casting.

MemberWow the 999th post from r-mk a nice one at that.

MemberValid. Of course, there would be some amount of loss from the conversion, both ways, in addition to the cost of starting the conversion… Like turning money into items, like Gold Bars in Paper Mario: TTYD or, for a significant loss, Nuggets in Black City in Pokémon Black. Those Items only exist to be sold, but you can buy them, albeit at a higher price than they sell for, making them an apt analogy.

MemberEh, I was thinking the mana crystals would only lose extra during the initial creation for acting as storage, since during release they’d likely be created with rapid deployment and immeadette use with minimal loss.
God I cannot make that make better sense….
RuBoo
MemberI mean, it takes energy to convert energy. So, converting magic into a “mana crystal” would naturally lose some of the magic energy. A lot probably goes into forming whatever bonds “lock” the magic into a crystal form. Further, while it may only take a bit of energy input to begin the process of converting the crystal back into magic, there will still be a loss: the crystal would have to expend some of the energy it creates to undo the bonds keeping it crystallized. The amount of wasted energy could easily depend on the skill and experience of the user. A novice caster might pour excessive amounts of magic into the creation of a crystal, only to make a tiny crystal that would expend most of itself undoing itself. Meanwhile, an old pro could produce a good-sized crystal with minimal wasted energy. Even so, not all of the expended energy would be recoverable from the resulting crystal, even if the difference is only slight.

MemberGotta love how a pseudo science discussion the properties of a magical storage method could be invoked because of the casual side banter of a image based on someone’s breasts getting groped.

Memberaw nah obviously male casters store it in their balls, thats why wizards wear robes to hide them.
