Are we going to see why Serah feels guilty for her mother not being around? (Whatever the outcome may be)

Flash back…, dad’s dream?

Hopefully the last few days haven’t been Serah’s subconscious fantasizing.

At least we finally got mom’s name now.. Bethany.

It was all a dream, there was no sex

They're definitely younger so I think this is it, a flashback to explain the situation regarding their mother. It's been over 7 years since this story began, and we're hopefully getting answers here to likely the one core remaining mystery of this story. I'm excited to see what happened if that indeed is what this is.

Jealousy doesn't look good on anyone. Seems like she is getting mad just from him replying to a hello text.

Is he not allowed to keep in touch with old friends even if they were a thing before? He also isn't the one who texted her, he just replied, to not be rude.

Their relationship must already be shaky if that is all it is taking to set her off.

Wherever this is going, this is a great story line and great art to go with it.

Given what they're wearing, this looks like it's right after they took that big family photo in their home (post #3361001). So...wow, they were putting up quite a front.

Honestly I thought it could be either, but considering Serah just woke up (presumably from all the arguing and not Seb’s would-be scream) I think he’s sleeping.

I doubt it will be a car wreck. Why still put up the family portrait after a car wreck that happened after the portrait was taken that caused a death???

Serah said last chapter she felt like she made her mom disappear. Unless she died in a car wreck that they dont remember and Keith lied about it it does not seem like its a death.

Keith also mentioned to Seb to treat his unknown girlfriend well and be faithful. To which Keith added “I know thats rich coming from me.”

To me the parents look like twins as well because the whole model is so close in many of the features. But hard to know for sure. Either way it does not seem like they had a very good/strong relationship.

Then again the ear injury could very well be from an accident. Either way shit is about to go down. Don’t hug me I’m scared!

K I think I have a decent amount of information.

From what I can gather:

- The zebra woman from earlier was one of Keith's old flames
- Bethany (who I can only surmise is the name of the Lynx mother but could be wrong) is rather... Jealousy prone, likely because Keith and the zebra woman go back a while.
- It's possible Zebra's promiscuity is connected to Keith in some way but not certain. But it would make sense.
- It might also be possible Bethany pretty much picked up Keith after a harsh break up, got pregnant, then they married for the kids.
- Serah's connection in all this is either one of two things.

1) She drops some form of information that causes her mother to try and divorce her husband.

2) She causes some kind of scene that distracts the father from his driving long enough for the supposed accident.

I believe that all these events so play together.

Likely distraction happens, drama/trauma of some sort ensues, zebra woman comes back in to help Keith pick up things, they hit it off again, this leads to Serah's initial disdain since it feels like her mother is being possibly replaced by the very woman she dislikes, fast forward to present day

Not gonna lie. I started reading this chapter first, and for the first 5 pages I thought Sarah was a dude. (Seb never used her name and the way it was drawn is ambiguous) That works for me so I was a little disappointed, but I got hooked anyway.

I've been binge-reading from day one. Can't wait to see how this plays out now.

I feel like we are about to find out if the mom got "Disney'd" or is just "out of the picture"....Given one of Keiths ears are clipped, this may have a part in how it happened. >w>

This flashback might end in the worst way possible, I hope not but one never knows.

I guess we have a name for Lynx mom now. Bethany? And I guess as predicted Keith and Jayden have been a thing for far longer than expected. Guess I should have figured since Keith was in the same clothes in both his family photo in his car and the one with Jayden.

This. We weren't rich but dad put a roof over our heads and he and mom took care of us kids good but particularly when really little you had your good Easter, Christmas, non Sunday school church and special event clothes and mom and dad hoped you didn't hit any really big growth spurts between one Easter and the next. Again not because money was tight but because it was silly to have more than one set of " good clothes " that you'd wear well under 10 times a year

Not sure if it's just style choices but I'm noticing BK keeping Keith's full head out of picture. Could be nothing but possibly it's to keep from revealing his ears are intact and the notched ear is a result of a car accident. Dramatically it would be a perfect setup to explain Bethany out of the picture, Sera having a bad impression of Keith and seb being apparently clueless to actual events.
Set up along the lines of Keith and Bethany arguing about Keith responding to a how you doing message from an ex,argument distracts Keith at the wrong time and there's a car wreck kids and Keith are banged up but Bethany is killed in the wreck but Sera's been awake long enough that to a kid's perspective it's not Bethany feeling a bit insecure and firing up the green eyed monster but Keith involved with someone other than Bethany and holds that against Keith with mom dead and unable to confirm there's nothing going on.
Seb is of course still clueless as he's obviously sawing lumber and all he would know is suddenly waking up from the accident.

At the risk of getting massively down voted, can we take a moment to appreciate the hilarity of her having a flashback dream after back to back sibling sex?

I've seen enough Hollywood backstory flashbacks to predict either a horrible car crash...most likely.

My take?
Def car crash. Prob dad's ear injured. Wife lives, but Serah says something that makes her feel responsible for the divorce.

Side note to those speculating for/against the twins being a product of incest:
Just because Bethany is Keith's wife, doesn't mean she is the twins' biological mother. Infidelity could be the source of the children AND the source of Bethany's jealousy. Infidelity with his own sister could Definitely cause the kind of animosity that is irreconcilable.

Oh, and Seb is soooooo sawing logs like a Lumberjack in a Monty Python bit.

Because photos that size don't get developed first thing. At least as far as I'm aware. I think it depends on how the picture was made and what era this is.
