Description
"In 2136, the first Human expedition to the stars leaves Earth and reaches Gliese 832. When they reach it, they find out that it is inhabited by the Venlil Republic, a member of the Federation, a coalition of numerous species, all of them herbivorous. Terrified by the predatory humans, the Venlil struggle to see them as anything else but monsters, but eventually get over their fears. Unfortunately, not all species of the Federation are as willing to look beyond Humanity's diet, especially as the Arxur, lizard-like carnivorous aliens, have been ravaging the galaxy for centuries..."

MemberOh, yeah, old cameras where somehow reflecting light in our eyes glowing red in final photos for some reason, I still have a lot of old photos and everyone in them have those red glowing eyes
88miker
MemberThey were usually caused by the flash function in cameras. The flash illuminates the blood inside the pupil.

BlockedI'm not sure if this should need the uncanny tag
Aomikan
MemberYeah that's supposed to be a Polaroid photo. The red eyes are a thing everyone had to deal with in those.

MemberThing is, with their standards would they even see the eyes being red as the creepy part? Most of them would have no idea that red is not one of the natural eye colors a human can have, and their blood is orange so they likely don't associate red with danger the same way we do.
cain-dreemurr
MemberWell some people DO have red eyes, like crimson red, mostly albino people but some healthy ones also do, and well... hot things are red, some poisonous berries and other plants are red and red in general is a dangerous color in nature, even if their blood is orange their meat is still red, it's a color of flesh, I think they assiociate red with danger just like us, just not with bloodthirst like we do
Duderino
MemberI absolutely fucking love everything about this picture. I need to read the nature of predators, it feels like my kind of story.
