The first series with no Pikachu. He's basically Pokemon's Mickey Mouse, I wonder if this will effect the series' ratings?

But after a while everyone gets tired of even thier favorite food
Even if your favorite is pikachu, eventually you’ll get tired of seeing it everywhere.

That analogy doesn't really translate to television. You remove a particular character from a beloved show, you can never really predict the audience will react. Pikachu's also been there for nearly 30 years. I dunno, I feel like it could go either way. We'll have to wait and see.

I thought the Pawmi line was supposed to be the new Pikachu. They didn't draw much attention to it that I personally saw, but it is a small, electric rodent. It even has the circles on the cheeks. It just has no personality.
