Description

Rane unsheathed

And the full-nude version, for those that asked for it, now that FA is back up. Cock's a little tamer/simpler version of the BD gryphon cock; thought it fit well.

  • Well, I really like the colors. But the overall design of this guy is pretty generic, if you ask me: Not one ounce of surplus fat or muscles, forearm-sized penis (more or less), etc. There is a chart of male characters made by arctic-sekai that illustrates what I mean pretty well: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/8287732/

I don't want to bitch about any artist, it's just that most male characters created by furry artists follow the same pattern, and fluff-kevlar's new fursona suffers the same fate. There is not really much that sets this guy apart from the mass of the generic male characters found in the fandom. Apart from the fantastic colors and FK's awesome art stlye, of course - but other than that, he is not memorable at all, I think.

Thank you for the critique! I understand what you mean and where the idea is coming from...I think when I was creating him I was shooting for something a little different from males that I already had, rather than different from every other male out there. My designs are never final, save for a few, and it took many reiterations of my main character Nytro/Ark to get him to a place where I liked him and think he stands out with a few features that I rarely ever see and the like.

I do appreciate the well-worded critique and comments though, I'll make my best effort to take it all into consideration as I push forward

Do characters have to be different from everyone else? There are only so many body configurations you can use without becoming plain ridiculous. If you're going to critique, then do so about the art style, not what someone chooses their fursona to look like. If they want a slender, refined looking male character than they should be allowed to have that. It isn't a contest to see who has the most fantastic character.
