    What are the odds two users upload the same thing just 2 minutes appart from each other?

    I hate this current meta between Twitter and Furaffinity because of this exactly.
    Sure we now get better quality copies, but only to some degree unless the artist also pays for FA+ and now instead of FA just being just straight up bad compared to twitter, it takes more time to check individual cases.

    Twitter image is pretty compressed and chroma subsampled, so even if resolution is higher, you do get a lot more artifacting including visible macroblocking and color information is halved in dimensions, causing even higher color bleed and smudging.

    I would almost say that you might get ever so slight amount of more single pixel level detail on higher resolution version, it's also altered with compression and color information is way much worse, so even if the resolution difference is this high, this version starting already relatively high resolution (diminishing returns and all that) makes this still far superior in quality IMO
