Actually, first imgur believe it or not. Then GMOD, then Twitter, and so on.

To give you some background info, the cat was posted as an image on imgur, then someone decided to make a 3d model of that cat in GMOD, then someone made that 3d model intractable on GMOD. After this, someone on twitter made that model spin around with the caption "new item acquired". This was re-posted on Twitter, until eventually tiktok and YouTube started making memes about it. And now he were are, e621. The end of the road.
