Dudunsparce was such a complete disappointment.

Dunsparce had so much potential for an evolution. Lean more into its tsuchinoko origins and make it a Ground-type, or lean into the dragon aspects and make it a Dragon-type. Instead, they add a body segment and make a few minor tweaks, then call it a day. The only good thing about Dudunsparce is that it means Dunsparce can utilize an Eviolite.

Dunsparce is my second-favorite Pokemon ever. It deserved better.

Yo I thought the exact same way! Perfect evolution to the perfect boi. Dunsparce is my most favorite pokemon ever. It's evolution felt perfect lmao.

Took me a while to realize that the oversized looking dunsparce in game, was in fact an evolution T_T ..

Dunsparce is my all-time favorite Pokemon. Do you know what I did when I saw this thing in the original datamine? I laughed my ass off and sent it to everyone I knew along with the text "What more could I ask for?".

It retains the lovable dopiness of the original, continues the line as weird Japanese cryptids (from a Tsuchinoko to a Nozuchi), stays true to the original grimmick (rare yet unremarkable) thanks to the variable body segments, has some truly hilarious animations, and it pisses off the people who hopped on liking the little guy ironically because they wanted it to turn into something conventionally cool when it finally evolved. It's the evolution Dunsparce deserved, no matter what you or anyone else thinks.

I get where you're coming from. My problem is that Dudunsparce doesn't really feel like it adds anything - it's just Dunsparce, but longer. It doesn't do anything new. What I would have loved to see in a Dunsparce evolution is taking some aspect of Dunsparce - either physically or conceptually - and advancing that. Make the wings bigger and give it a Flying typing, or stretch the body and make it more like an Eastern dragon, and give it the appropriate type. It was never going to be dragon type, y'all are incredibly delusional if you really believe that, also, ngl to you, that design that you send is awful, Dunsparce was never going to have an epic evolution, his entire existence is based on being a joke as his inspiration is also a prank
