Looks like it fits, mostly because she has a smaller mouth than would typically be on a dogs face (more humanoid).
Just enough to cover the nose and mouth without being in the way of the glasses.

Why are so many AKs being used all around the world. Granted not by the countries military. More militia and terrorist groups. But same principal applies.
