“Good boy” sounds condescending, but he likes the attention.

Now, for some reason, this picture was taken after the last. Xavier isn’t the type of person to take pictures of his own paws, and he doesn’t exactly seem confident in their appeal, so I think we both know who did this. More than that, this sort of embarrassment on his face means Lexi must know exactly how to press Xavier’s buttons. Probably knows what sort of thing “feet pics” are to folks. I wonder where she learned that. Regardless, she didn’t seem like she was a fan of X’s beans, so what gives?

It’s easy, actually. With a sassy nature, Lexi loves to tease. And what better would tease an extremely timid and people-pleasing lucario who didn’t deny taking an interest in her feet? And even if taking a picture isn’t an overt admission, it’s at least ammunition to use against him. So, she used the obvious tactic of “Well, now you have one of mine. Let’s take one of yours~!” And it appears to have worked. Even if he ignored his people-pleasing instinct, he’d listen, because this is someone who he feels especially close to. So, directing his body language and making sure his paws occupied the frame, Lexi snapped a nicely composed picture of plump pads. After all, it’s only fair, right~?

She wasn’t wrong, for the record; he is developing an attraction to her lower appendages. I suppose he shouldn’t have entertained that first competition if he planned on going about life normally. But, with as chummy as he and the frost goblin were, this sort of thing was bound to crop up sooner or later. And with winter comes Lexi’s… seasonal hormones. Maybe them taking an interest in each other isn’t so bad! After all, if he’s a “good boy”...
