    I made this comment on the Patreon when this page first went up, but that plant there in the third panel is a very slick, very subtle Easter egg. I was highly amused by it.

    And what is it referencing? You'll eventually find out. It's one of those things that jumps out at you if you know a little more about the plant and have read the whole story. Coincidentally and unrelated to that fact, is that it's also one of my favorites species of plants.
