To be fair it's not clear how hard or far she stomped. She might have just been pinning him under her foot instead of stepping all the way, or she didn't step down fast enough to be deadly. He was on a boat so she would have had to step far enough to hit the bottom of the lake to kill him yet we didn't see him go under water.
