Just safety, especially when she gor pets from him. Helped that his porous skin was rather nice to the touch. So, he had the rare distinction of not just being able to touch Loona, but be welcomed to do so.

Thus, the unlikely sight of Spongebob hugging Loona's big fluffy tail. The hellhound just took it, smiling at how he was stroking and rubbing himself into there. He had gone through a rough couple of days, so, in essence, he needed this. THEY needed this."
