If you beat the remake on the hardest difficulty and get an S+ rating, you unlock cat ears for Leon that give him infinite ammo.

I thought the same at first, but considering his reflexes and cunning instead of brute strength, a cat fits better imo. Also just being a coy bastard who tries to be cool
