Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

    You wake up in a graveyard, confused and feeling scared. You wonder where you are as you vaguely remember a fight and a journey of a lifetime (or 9 life) before you get up and brush yourself off. A large silhouette suddenly comes up behind you. You turn around very slowly, only to see a huge cape with red glowing eyes, staring at you intently. you try backing up, only to be stopped by a gravestone. The figure then takes their hood off, revealing 2 ears, a long snout and a somber expression. You realize that the thing was Death letting you know your time has come.
    You allow Death to approach as you reflect your life. "you ready, Gatito?" Death softy says. "Yes." you say, bravely. A warm, fuzzy sensation envelops you slowly as you feel Death's hand slowly wrap around you. Death gently lifts you up as you relax, finally feeling peace. You glance into Death's eyes who also is looking at you. He reaches you to comfort you in your final moments, but you slip way before he could. As you rise from your beaten body, you see Death looking at your now lifeless corpse, sadly. He takes a moment to reflect on your life, before putting your corpse inside the warmth of his poncho. You are grateful for the 9 lives and many adventures with wonderful people. Death is too.
