  • I’m reminded the of time I slept on a couch for nearly a year because sharing a bedroom just was not viable at the time (for not sexy reasons). Parents eventually converted the garage into two new bedrooms.

I did this, as well, because my brother snored really loudly and I just couldn't get to sleep with him doing so. Except for me, it was me sleeping on a couch for about 7-8 years (the twin bed, even when moved downstairs, was too stiff for me).

  • Glad for this outcome, been a bit of a cliffhanger for a few pages wondering if things were going to get worse, thankfully it appears not in a "tragic" way at least

  • Not having their own rooms probably exacerbated things, but I don’t think it’s a reason, per-say. I think they probably would have ended up having sex regardless considering they’re clearly attracted to each other.

  • Am very glad that Jayden is there for Keith right now.

He isn't drinking which is good. It's just really good that he has support right now.

The benefits of a real close relationship. She knows him better than anyone.., including his late wife Bethany.

Room issue: well they were still little kids at the time of the accident. But, he admits that he drew into the brew.., which blinded him to that notion of separate rooms.

And your last point.., it’s possible, if they’re the only Lynx species in town.

You're inferring that Seb and Serah could only love each other because of their species, on a Comic which has clearly shown that cross-species couples are not only possible but very much a thing in this universe.

To say that Seb and Sarah are attracted to each other over the fact that they're both lynxes (And to imply that they - and Keith - could be the only lynxes around) is pretty silly. don't you think?

  • As much as I love the twins and want their relationship to succeed, I feel so fucking bad for Keith man. Like no matter how the conversation goes with the twins he’s going to blame himself for their relationship. There’s also the social consequences if the relationship gets revealed to the public which will no doubt lead to all three of them becoming outcasts. I just wish there was a way for everyone to be happy in this situation.

Not having seperate rooms should not make a iota of difference actually. At most, it gave them more opportunity to act on it, but given that things started in the bathroom, it probably didn't even do that.

Remember, who you (biologically) consider as family vs. non-family is largely dependent on early childhood proximity, something that caused quite some issues for royal families who thought having their to be wed children live together was a good idea.

  • At least he is mature enough to know that drinking isn't going to make the problem any easier and would just make the issue worse if he tried to go into it drunk. The fact that he is actively trying to quit is admirable, but I don't think he needs to beat himself up over the separate room thing.

Having separate rooms would never have prevented the two of them from being intimate if they really like each other. After all, it seems there is only one bathroom in the house and the first event happened in the bathroom, not to mention it doesn't seem like their dad is home a lot and they are left by themselves often, so it would have happened no matter how much space was between them as long as the attraction was there from the beginning.

There were plenty of times where sarah would walk around the house in her underwear around seb and as they got older he started to notice it more, so there is no change in circumstances that would have made them not attracted to each other.

It is a good thing that he’s mature enough to realize that he made a mistake by crawling into a bottle after Bethany died, but he is not actively trying to quit drinking. His guilt at this point simply won’t let him do it anymore. He is facing a scenario that could literally tear his family apart and while he WANTS to drink, his conscience is getting in the way of that. (which is a good thing) It’s true that he doesn’t need to beat himself up over it, but he feels responsible because this sobering reality has taught him that he wasn’t there for Seb and Serah when he needed to be; so instead of finding comfort and solace through him, they found it through each other.

  • Hmm. I have to wonder if there's anything to him calling her 'their mom' instead of his wife, or by her name. I guess in context in makes sense since he's talking about them and their relationship to her, but there's just something about his relationship with Bethany that doesn't sit right. Like there's a piece missing.

  • It's good that he didn't drink and I understand that he blames himself for the separate rooms and not being with them anymore instead of clinging to a bottle. On the other hand, yes, it takes something more than that for it to be a relationship between siblings.

  • From what we've seen, Serah and Seb were accustomed to sharing a room. What set them off was Serah's idea of communal bathing without prior notice.

And also yeah, those two have a massive bond.

  • I am impressed with the quality of the comments on this comic. Sure, there's the obligatory "first!" disguised as "I MADE IT RIGHT AFTER IT WAS POSTED!" and a few fillers, but over all, an amazing display of maturity and deep thinking! Well done E621 - this is what it looks like when we think with our big head!

Definitely was not expecting any of this after reading "Monday Morning" but now i am in need of more of this!

This exactly. We've literally gone through an entire chapter where the spicest action was Sera accidentally joining Jayden in the shower with some of course expected nudity and no complaints of where's the sex? but more conversation of what this meant for the story.

  • Huh. I think many parents would wonder if they did something wrong for their children to end up in an incestuous relationship, even if said relationship was as wholesome as this comic's seems to be.

Still, it's easier to empathize with Keith's perspective since he has some clear shortcomings he's aware of. It's easier to understand why he'd imagine this is a bad thing he's responsible for, even though it's not necessarily bad and there's no point in blaming himself.

But with Jayden's gentle push, I'm sure he'll realize that what's important now isn't to find the cause but to determine what he can do to help his children deal with their current situation and the difficulties it might cause them.

  • I have to be honest, I would not have blamed Keith if he HAD gotten drunk here but the fact he hasn't, is a good sign. He's emotional, yes but sober him will be a far more reasonable person and with Jayden's help, can hopefully take time to listen to them. They've made up their minds, Sarah and Seb are set on this relationship and this is where Keith needs to show he's there for them. It's a hard choice but I think he's got this, especially with Jayden's help.
