Not that I don't agree with you, but saying that and acting on it are two completely different things.

In my opinion there sexuality is defined by what features you find attractive.
Many people that find traps and fem boys attractive also like real women.
And traps are usually so extremely feminized that thy almost seam more attractive than female characters.

So... it's pointless to have preferences? Or are you saying it's a bad idea to go after what you want to? I'm not trying to pick a fight, but this is just not penetrating my thick skull all that well, I'm afraid.

Or.. maybe I already do that? I'm gay, and there's a huge gulf between boyfriends for me. Like, some have been large, small, girly, musclebound, dominant, and submissive. I just listen to my gut really, and that's generally how it goes for me. Still friends with almost all of them, too, because of it.

That's not what I'm saying. There's nothing wrong with preferences as a whole. Personally, I love gentle, fenimie qualities and I'm not attracted to masculinity at all which is the main thing that keeps me from being gay. And there's nothing wrong with finding a person to be with who shares the same qualities as yourself, unless you like unnecessary drama in your life.

However, when you do what typical teenagers, girls and guys do, when they build up in their minds this ideal perfect soul mate idea and then try to look for people to fit such an impossible definition, or when you take someone close to your ideal mate and then try to force them to change certain major aspects of their personality while doing the same to yourself, 9 times out of 10 you'll never find a happy relationship.

When people can't learn to except someone for all of who they are, the good, the bad, the funny and the annoying and either struggle to look for their perfect mate which is a literal impossibility, or move from relationship to relationship, slowly trying to control and change a person while keeping that struggle for power over the relationship going, people like that will never have a happy, loving, mature relationship and I can't relate or even pity people like that.

Basically what I'm saying it, when people don't learn to ditch that storybook, movie false romance nonsense and just learn to try accept other people for what they're worth and how they make you feel, they will never have a decent relationship and its truly sad that people don't learn this until their mid-to-late 30's after they've made countless mistakes, had kids with someone they're not right for, all the while they just screwed over or completely over looked the people who are good for them due to stupid and insecure reasons and instead went after other people for surface, shallow, superficial reasons. But in the end, such logic or practical way of thinking will always be over looked by the masses and most people will claim I'm just talking out my ass when I say this, until they've reached that point in their lives where my words are truth to them. But oh well. Anyways, yeah, that's what I mean. When people finally ditch their preconceived notions about what a "soul mate" should be and instead accept someone for who and what they are, people will find themselves far more continent and happy but then again I'd might as well ask for kim kardashian to be a better role model while I'm at it.
