I have a theory that the word 'joystick' has been used more times in porn to describe dicks than it has been used to describe actual game controllers, at least in the past 10 years or so.

Not much to say, just that 'joystick' is something you'd call the controller of an Atari 2600, not a modern video game system. They were practically nonexistent in the era of d-pads, and when they came back in the N64 era they no longer resembled anything close to a dick. Even fighting game players have taken to calling it an Arcade Stick when they're feeling retro. And yet, porn writers still fall back on 'handling my joystick' when there's a world of sexual innuendos to be had with the various motion control devices out there. It's a changing world, people, get with it.
