Hmm, this was probably in my childhood somewhere.

This form never seemed to get much love from the fans, but I always liked it much better then the original.

I think it was the order. I think it would have been cooler if this was his first form, and the first one where he looked a bit stronger came second. Iunno. I liked both for different reasons.

I'm late to the party, but I agree. I initially hated his second version, but it's not that bad after all. Though IMO it's stupid to change styles that drastically out of the blue. Regardless if the new style is better, worse or as good. It's just weird and confusing. And there is tons of style change in history of animation, but I can't think of anything that much drastic. People hate new pikachu, but the older isn't all that different. Jake is literally changing from western dragon to eastern dragon, which are like kangaroo and mouse for example. Completely different species. Imagine pikachu as a kangaroo now... Maybe I've chosen a bit too much different species, but the point remains. Also I won't count the oversimplifying styles, like making the Scooby-Doo gang look ugly or the new Duck Tales being square heads. I mean just change od the style, not simplifying it because of laziness.
