While a lot of this "kill people who like this type of art" stuff has that classic internet layer of "in minecraft in roblox just as a prank bro" irony over it, the sentiment is growing to be normal and that's slightly worrying. You can say "its not meant to be actually a call to violence don't take it so serious" and yes there's a very small chance anything actually violent will happen over it, but it is non-zero and you never know who will see this as the fandom at large justifying their aggression against people who like art they don't.

This is why I generally take that sort of stuff seriously whenever I see someone spouting that sentiment. I remember on Twitter seeing records of comments saying stuff that would make August Underground look like a Goosebumps movie. Some people even stating they would go that far if they could get away with it (one of which actually DID cross that line, as stated by one user I used to follow, who was stalked by one of these people). I don't care if they're "just trolling", this is a dangerous game that can actually have real life consequences. It just takes one person to believe they're "doing the right thing."
