Description

The one and only King Adelaide of the Basitans, from Twokinds.
Even at 53, she's got it going on! And she's beautiful to look at, or should I say, look up to. From this perspective, she's looking down at you.

Jade Adelaide belongs to the webcomic Twokinds

  • The only thing that kinda ruins it for me is that the face looks too human; that could also be chalked up to art style of course: but other than that, it looks pretty good

Yeah, tbh though, this was Arekage's first time doing a drawing of Jade. The image material available on her just shows a human like face. But otherwise, they did their best. And thanks. You should go on and check them out. Here is their DA and FA profiles:

  • That face just ruins it.

Don't bother with a paper bag over her head, I've seen it now. Some uncanny valley nightmare fuel there.

Well this was Arekage's first attempt at drawing her. Plus, the material on Adelaide, from the artist himself, basically shows her having a near human face, minus the nose. But you have to give the artist some slack, he did his best.

Hi, I am the artist. Was there something specific about this face that made it unappealing or just that this is not how you imagined the character? I am trying to improve my art so any constructive feedback could help me in the future.

Dang. Tell me how you really feel. Was there something specific that made it off putting? Any constructive feedback can maybe help me avoid this in the future.

Since there is no response in the comments Adelaide has a somewhat short muzzle rather than a human face. They human face is what is throwing them off and makes her look a bit uncanny.

I guess with the art style of the comic it just looked like more of an anime girl face to me since she just has the big eyes, cat nose, simple mouth, and flat looking human face where other characters had a more pronounced muzzle. I suppose the alternate version fixed that. Thank you for the feedback.
