Apparently this is the "climax" of a slightly longer animation. The artist mentioned above that the full animation has much more foreplay to it. A lot of Ito's previews either don't show the climax or show just the climax so this time they tried to do a short moment leasing to the climax and people above were still complaining about the animation.

Ito's one if those artists that will always get bashed and attacked for their work unfortunately because they never release ALL of their work in full for free immediately when it's completed. Even when the artist tries to explain their posting schedules, they still get attacked because they don't instantly release full works for free.

This is an interesting take considering patreon literally doesn't allow this type of content to be posted directly. So we used discord roles to give you access to a website. It's a two step process. Attached your discord to your profile and then logging in. I don't even use Google so you got me on that one.

But I guess I'm an "asshole" for doing that. Maybe when the mods see comments like these they will understand why "feedback" here is a joke.

Comparing us to how any other creator does it isn't fair either, because we offer a lot more content then most creators and therefore need a much larger place to store it, and definitely need more control over it then a 3rd party would offer.. And as I mentioned above, patreon DOES NOT ALLOW THIS CONTENT. So that alone would indicate a need to another system.

So, while your complaints arent the first ive heard about this type of thing, they are also quite exaggerated (and outdated) because now, we only require two steps. I'm sorry you are used to the "other way" but that does not work for every single creator who has different needs.

See, I don't usually comment but as a fan of this artist's work and as someone who's been browsing e6 for many a year now, I can't help but wonder why the artist is getting punished for defending themselves against said trolls. Should the staff not prioritize punishing the people harrassing the artist instead of targeting the artist themselves? Is someone defending their art and service, albeit in a slightly more combative manner, really justification for blocking them from the platform? Are content creators simply supposed to lie down and accept obnoxious and hateful comments towards their craft, instead of sticking up for themselves?

Call this a hot take, but this seems just a bit backwards, if the comments ito made were ban-worthy then surely what dark-ryu has been saying, or simply the fact he started it at all with the name-calling and obvious defamation, should certainly be worth just as harsh a punishment.

Yes exactly this! I have experienced and been on the other hand of trolling, though a lot of a smaller hand. The more I defended myself the more your words get twisted, it's just useless, sometimes you just need to shut up and let them be. They likely already don't like your content period if they're repeatively trolling you, so why are you even fighting to try to make them like your content?

The artist is getting punished for causing arguments and flamewars, as well as generally aggressive statements and/or bragging. On e621, or any website, we don't wanna hear you brag about your favorite or following account, people usually look down on that behavior, but ito has done it multiple times on site. He also is just. Rude. And would overengage with the trolls. It's far more than just defending. If ito simply reported these people and stopped he'd have a much shorter record than today.
As for dark-ryu, they literally got warned as well. He has a neutral warning for his entire spewl, and it's neutral because he had no other records. In the beginning, ito also only had a neutral record for his behavioral as well, it's just how the warning system works to my knowledge. If dark had a history like ito, he'd also be banned, but he doesn't. Ito had a chance to change and stop bad behavior, but didn't, and thus is gone from the site.
It was a moderation headache I bet for the moderators so it's likely for the best anyways, sometimes I think decisions are outright stupid, but this one was valid and I'll die on that hill.

My mention of "fucked up" is the actual origine of this "disruptive behavior" got a "neutral" ??, and Ito was not the only one disruptive here (I know it was a recurring problem with Ito.) It's easy to assume that if dark-ryu would have NOT posted such post, nobody would be arguing right now.

However, what makes you think that the people leaving negative comments did not receive records? I know that I certainly issued quite a few back when I was handling the situation.
It's the same thing as with bikomation – comments were just not getting marked to avoid escalating the drama.

Well, in the case of dark-ryu specifically, it seems he only recieved a nuetral mark, which to me seems quite unfair considering they both started and continued the drama, whereas ito was defending himself and recieved a ban.

I was unaware of what previous marks ito might have recieved, and if this was the product of a long-lasting record rather than based on this decision alone, then that's much more understandable. That being said, had dark-ryu not started with the hateful comments at the start, none of this would have happened, and it just seems to be that his punishment was rather inadequate given the situation.

All that being said, I know it can he difficult to moderate situations, and I certainly do respect the work you and certain others have put into it, I had only meant to share my honest opinion and I didn't intend to harbor any sort of negativity or hate towards the staff!

Okay, so, I'll abbreviate a very long and annoying story;

Itoriffic constantly pushed, not toed, but pushed boundaries. The previews thing, he constantly bickered trying to do EVERYTHING in his power to make his ads, and that's what they are, ads, not be marked as ads, and any time an appropriate tag was suggested so people could filter it he would remove it and complain more. He also used the Discord thing as an effort at circumventing patreon's guidelines via never directly linking to patreon and making it an access key situation (not sure how that worked out), was posting fake gif previews, extremely low effort "wobbly linework" gifs, and just generally doing as much to get away with whatever he could. Another recent work had a godawful A.I. upscaled intro, which he tried to defend. He also took to twitter after his first ban to try to rally a personal army there claiming e6 staff were encouraging harassment.

The prior-mentioned fake gif thing he did he 100% initiated the flamewars on after the original preview was deleted for quality standards, by the way. "is this a screenshot? Yep, 200 of 'em!" type nonsense. He has been given multiple chances, been warned multiple times by the staff and even I've tried to advise him on healthier ways to engage with the community. He chooses not to do so, he continues to engage in this behaviour, he did everything in his power to escalate and make blacklisting more difficult.

Main issue they had here was they wanted an echo chamber I guess, and unlike Twitter, the staff here are good about stopping flamwars. Not surprised either, though hope the staff don't get a ton of random user_#### accounts causing issues, doing stuff for Ito. Their twitter is like their personal army.

Ito repeatedly tried to get people to fight with them, that's why they got banned, stirring the pot.

I find itos response rather non aggressive he is just stating the facts and pojnting out how the situation with the way to access the content but theres always gonna be a complaint or a troll who doesnt like either the art or the way someone runs their stuff fact is he was just explaining in a defensitory manner not a aggressive one
