No you're right.
If you go to fenoxo.com there is a Release Tracker in the side bar that says among other things "Classes and Leveling: INCOMPLETE"

Currently smugglers and tech specialists have levels(up to 5, skills at each level).
Mercenaries will likely be added in the next release, but at present are stuck at level 1 since they have no skills to level.

Also, to clarify, since there's another possible point of confusion, once you get to max xp needed for level, you have to go back to your ship(or anywhere you can sleep currently only ship) and sleep to actually gain that level.
It's not level as you go like CoC.

You level up by going to sleep back at your ship. On another note, how do you unlock more planets?

Current release has only 1 planet.
As far as I can tell, plans are that each planet will have a rival fight in a single set place in the wilderness of that planet where the probe that your father sent out landed.
The current spot is marked, but as the battle, and next planet don't exist, there is a placeholder massage that basically says "sorry, alpha build, no fight here yet"

Wow! I finally get to play tits! I flied out when I saw this.

When I think of what has been done for a vortex to TITS and what has now been published, I am really disappointed. It is basically not very much different than CoC. Completely text based and miserable button explanations. Each button is a game of chance, as in CoC. The time and money, as well as ideas are been better spent if she invested in the old CoC was are. It is also just as much on sexual intercourse. I know it is long yet not finished yet, but as it looks now it will probably be a disappointment across the Board.

Good that you have the choice between different races and a few other early election possibilities. Is also good to keep Junior (apparently) can if you want. Otherwise as CoC it animated read not the texts, what may be the color concept is to blame, too. After what was made to look to TITS I ehr expected by a mixture of text and animation or image.

Interesting combinations of CoC and the menu (personal status, for example visually shows when one is pregnant) and the building oriented control by breeding game ID: 419486. But it would be good if the graphic is ehr at "Krystal Game" ID: 426082 would be determined. I can only hope that it gets better.

Wenn ich bedenke was für ein Wirbel um TITS gemacht wurde und was jetzt veröffentlicht worden ist, bin ich echt enttäuscht. Es ist im Grunde nicht sehr viel anders als CoC. Vollständig Text basierend und miserable Knopf Erklärungen. Jeder Knopfdruck ist ein Glücksspiel, wie in CoC. Die Zeit und das Geld sowie Ideen währen besser investiert gewesen wenn sie ins alte CoC investiert worden währen. Es ist auch genauso sehr auf Geschlechtsverkehr fixiert. Ich weiß es ist noch lange noch nicht fertig, aber so wie es jetzt aussieht wird es wahrscheinlich eine Enttäuschung, auf der ganzen Linie.

Gut ist, das man die Wahl zwischen verschiedenen Rassen hat und auch noch ein paar andere anfangs Wahl Möglichkeiten. Auch gut ist, das man Nachwuchs behalten (scheinbar) kann wenn man will. Anders als CoC animiert es auch nicht die Texte zu lesen, woran eventuell auch das Farbkonzept schuld ist. Nach dem was an Aufsehen um TITS gemacht wurde, habe ich ehr von einer Mischung aus Text und Animation oder Bild erwartet.

Interessante Kombinationen aus CoC und den Menüs (Persönliches Status, zeigt zum Beispiel bildlich an wenn man schwanger ist) und der Gebäude orientierten Steuerung von Breeding game ID:419486. Allerdings währe es gut wenn die Grafik sich ehr an "Krystal Game" ID:426082 orientieren würde. Ich kann nur hoffen das es besser wird.

For the naysayers who are saying this is nothing more than CoC in space. I would like to point out a couple things.
1. There already are multiple completely overhauled systems, character creation, tease in combat, leveling, all these things are totally changed from how they work in CoC.
2. This is probably around 1/10th of the first planet, it's basically a demo, hell, less than a demo.

Probably some other points, but here's the TL;DR version, give it some time, at least wait until the first planet is actually complete before you declare it a bad game that was a waste of time and money.

It's an alpha version. Not even beta.

And for those that keep complaining about the lack of content or functionality, I do believe that most of those things will turn up eventually. The majority of work that went into the game so far is basically the engine, the background that is just about invisible to the user but it's still essential to handle the content. And it's not even complete yet.

I spend all night playing this game... IT TOTALLY AWESOME!!! :D

Animations aren't going to happen, but images for certain sexy scenes(and maybe some non-sexy ones?) are in the list of planned features.

Yeah, I hear ya, Riolu. Also, Jcfinal, if you're a merc instead of a smuggler or tech, then you can't level up yet. Only those two have any levels so far, and you can only level up to 5 yet.

As far as I know, yes, it's just that producing this is eating up a lot of time, so updates for coc are gonna be slow for awhile.

FYI: Based on most recent blog post on Fenoxo.com this coming Wednesday will in fact be a backer only release, not a public release.
Probably due to the missed backer only release 2 weeks back.

According to the original schedule that's what it should have been, yes.
Fenoxo missed one of the backer releases(he's doing 2 backer/1 public, repeat).
So, the schedule got pushed back by a week.

It's now a bit after midnight EST, so not entirely sure if he's going to make it today, hopefully it will either pop up, or be only delayed to tomorrow if he's just trying to finish something up.
I'll keep everyone updated in the comments here if I learn anything, or people can check fenoxo.com where I get my info from if you don't want to wait for me to relay the info here.
