Idk, he seems pretty malicious just for the hell of it.

Look-wise, no. But curses can twist up both the body and soul to terrible degrees. In Nah Nah's case, she bound herself with the curse in a way that's not really ever been seen before. She's a tough cookie, and she has a purpose that she is driven by that has in ways actually slightly warped her beyond certain thresholds of sanity. Like, we find it cute when she has that laugh of hers, but she is genuinely suffering from hysteria being amplified by the curse.

Everything she has worked on and made by herself is alien in how complex and well thought out it is. If there were others in her shoes, they probably would have starved to death, driven to build and unable to stop. She made compromises in her own way with the "paste". But again, she bonded with the curse in a different way compared to others due to being an imp. She has somewhat more control but when we see her trying to give up that obsession while packing, it shows that it can still overpower her and draw out the worst aspect of that desire to build things of torture and death.

One can only imagine what horrifying, mind warping and soul eating damage she would have taken, having learned of the war's outcome in her isolation.

He is malicious, but he is honest. If you did what he needed you to do, he'll leave you be once it's done.

Just as a counterpoint… Does she get to choose what the obsession is about? Because if she could obsess on say, improving life in the land, creating peace, ensuring good relationships between people, or just keeping Dolan happy, she’d be a pretty powerful force for good.
