I don't buy it, personally. Yuu Eye was faking being a bad guy, for some reason. He took away his superpowers immediately after he found love by delving into a dungeon full of traps? Convenient timing, don't you think?

Yuu Eye was expecting Dolan to break and go slaughtering monsters, but he wasn't even able to finish off Lyim in a fit of justifiable rage. Since Dolan's staying pacifist, he's boring.

Dolan escaped Yuu Eye, but to what degree.

Yuu Eye saw potential in Dolan, the same as he saw in Princess Catbaths. And the most terrifying thing of all is that he was indeed right. "That's a laugh. I get everything." By the time Dolan had reached the dragon king, he became absolutely feared by monsters for the sheer damage, destruction, and violence that carried him the rest of the way. When he mentions earlier on "Stories of the great hero Dolan, and his blessed, terrible sword..." He wasn't just speaking about humans. He was also talking about the cursed legacy of using the sword beyond the purpose of good.

From one of my illustrations, we see Dolan having transformed the sword into a whip which he used to choke and burn a monster whose mask he shattered. Dolan was the weakest human. Not in body but in heart; and the sages, his friends, gave that heart strength. When their fate was sealed, the powers of Yuu-Eye combined with his being granted the sword, became a horrifying combination.

Take a kind man and strip everything from him, and the shadow of love is absolute hatred yearning for violence. When Yuu Eye comes to Dolan in the end, he already knew Dolan served his purpose. He just wanted some additional entertainment. Seeing Dolan find love and begin to turn once again towards a peaceful nature when he was so close to breaking once again, Yuu Eye is more than happy to strip him of that power because it would help Dolan achieve the peace for Endlen that he is searching for.

Yuu Eye is anything but dumb. He's a horrifying monster that see's a larger picture because he might as well be the nature of chaos itself trying to prey upon and tear away peace. He has eternity to bide his time.

I just read through the comments about the story so far and had an epiphany that made me fall over in my chair. Yuu Eye is UI. User Interface. The demon is literally a videogame software that required a main character for his game
