Because aggressive aggretsuko takes place in Japan they are dressed in ww2 Japanese pilot uniforms. Unfortunately however; it appears to be subtly implied that they are Kamikaze pilots.

Kamikaze pilots are pilots who deliberately crashed specially made planes directly into enemy warships in turn killing the pilot.
