The only good reason imo is like everyone is there to enjoy the art and sometimes other peoples’ comments can…ruin the mood?? Or, you cant self-insert… when it isnt your character like it’s someone elses OC so then it’s…invasive…? honestly it doesnt make sense when its an agreeable comment on a non-OC post, can we agree on that mods?!?!?!?

My personal feelings on the matter being that this website uses the first ammendment argument to post the most lewd and deplorable stuff imaginable in the form of porn but dosent allow its users to post anything in the form of words that's semi or remotely controversial the down vote system exists there should be very little moderation beyond that unless it goes into the grounds of harassment threatening of violence or the permutation of a crime

Moderating a popular site is a surprisingly tricky balancing act been over-moderating and under-moderating in a way that most people who have never attempted to do it would not understand. That said, I’m aware that this site was notoriously over-moderated a few years ago, and I’ve tended to be more lenient in general than some of my predecessors.
