  • If that “him” was a “her”, I could totally see Ceroba telling Clover that in regards to Alphys due to just how much pain she caused their family.

Imagine genocide route but with Ceroba helping you

That would honestly be amazing. We know she hates Asgore, and thinks his plan is insane... and Clover's mission was to kill Asgore and take the souls back to the surface.

    This could literally work.

she thought it was insane BECAUSE of human CHILDREN like clover being strong enough to wipe them out, let alone the entire human race

Think about it though. Why are humans still a threat to the monsters in the first place? Because Asgore has given an explicit order to kill any humans they find: that is why monsters attack you in Undertale.

If that order had never been given, the human children would have no reason to attack monsters after falling down. They'd be able to live out their lives naturally - they'd eventually even break the barrier peacefully by giving their souls after death... instead, they get attacked the moment they arrive.

I can see a universe where Clover convinced Ceroba that the only way to save monsterkind is to get rid of Asgore and free the stolen human souls. The alternative - Asgore's alternative - is a future where the humans retaliate and kill all of monsterkind in vengeance for their slain children. Ceroba is definitely willing to sacrifice a few - humans or monsters - for a greater good.
