[Independent Animation] 'Forest Survivor' Movie Trailer

This may seem unreal, but it's real. Don't forget this, future me.

I was living in Tokyo. I ran into my burning home, and woke up in a mysterious forest. The whole place was full of animals and plants I had never seen before, and on top of that, I was able to understand the language of the animals.
I thought it was a beautiful place, but I knew I couldn't stay there forever.
It was a place where humans weren't supposed to exist. Five large birds ruled the forest, and were trying to capture and kill us.
But at one point, one of the birds chased me, and we both fell into a hole. I ended up helping her.. I had no idea at that point that this would be the beginning of a lifelong friendship.
Then, she was hunted as well, as a traitor. That was the beginning of a long journey.
I saw many things on my trip. I met other human beings and made lifelong friends.
Please read this diary and remember the true meaning of my life, which I learned for the first time there.

これは嘘みたいで本当の事。未来の僕よこれを忘れないでください。

僕は東京に住んでいました。燃える家に飛び込んだ僕は気がつくと不思議な森にいました。そこら中見たこともない動物・植物でいっぱいで、おまけに僕は動物の言葉が理解出来るようになっていました。
キラキラしていて面白い場所だと思ったけどずっといる訳にはいきませんでした。
そこは人間が存在しては行けない場所、5羽の大きな鳥が森を支配していて人間をさらって絶滅させようとしていました。僕も狙われました。でもある時1羽に追いかけられて僕と一緒に2人とも穴に落ちました。僕は気がつくと彼女を助けていて…まさかこれがきっかけで一生の大親友が出来るなんてその時は思いもしませんでした。そして彼女も裏切り者として僕と一緒に追いかけられることになったのが長い旅の始まりでした。
旅で色んなものを見ました。他の人間にも会って一生の仲間ができました。
そこで初めて知った僕が生きる本当の意味をこの日記を読んで思い出してください。

    This looks fucking SICK dude. Someone needs to translate the description so I can know what they're saying (I know a little Japanese, I can't really read and understand it yet).

    I've put a translation in the post description. It's rough, I don't speak any Japanese, but using DeepL Translator (seems to be better than Google Translate) and context clues from the video and sentences, I think it's pieced together well.

    Seems like the description itself is supposed to be a journal entry of sorts from the main character... starting with the month and date, and ending with a note from someone who found the writing ("the writing is rough")

    From the Twitter post and date at the end, it's a school project. I doubt we'd see a full-fledged film, but I'd personally love to see one!

    Hi, decade long lurker here. I felt the need to point out that on the youtube channel there are two additional super cute short partly completed animations in this universe. Worth a look if you crave more.
