MemberOn the plus side, at least Dave knows that Raziel did in fact capture a demon! Also Neri dear, please make sure to stay out of sight of Gauzier's host, lol. Dave might be able to be convinced, but even an innocent observation from the other one brings down this whole house of cards...

Memberwhy is only her hoodie shown? are all the resr of her clothes an illusion or something?

MemberThe hoodie is angel clothing, the rest of her is... I don't know, her self-image of being a human, clothes included.

MemberJust finished reading the story up to this point. As far as I can guess the priest has never actually been proven to see Neri. So maybe this is confirmation of that. He can't see her but he can see the angelic clothing.

MemberDid you go back and read the beginning so you'd have context?
Both her and Raziel are spirits. As they work with them and require a host to remain on the living plane, angels can be seen by priests like Dave, but only specifically-sensitive people can see or hear demons. Neri's a demon.
So we're seeing from Dave's perspective. He can see the hoodie (which has a holy origin) but can't see Neri herself.
Related factoid: Dave wasn't named in the novel, he was simply "The Priest" and had far fewer scenes/lines than he's had in the comic so far.
Ragnars rock
MemberSo, it is also based on a novel. Interesting.
Also, thanks for the context.
For which I still have none for I have not read the rest of the comic haha.
Maybe someday
Gotta be careful not to accidentally by those, wouldn't want to re-enact "The Emperor's new clothes"

MemberYou really should go back and read the rest of the comic up to this point. You're going to be progressively more lost as time goes on, and you will get much more enjoyment out of it if you know the story 'til now.
If you don't you won't understand what's going on with Neri, her current history with Raziel, or the fact that he's literally tried to kill her multiple times and failed. There will also be lots of references ongoing to those earlier chapters as well.

MemberIt's not really a spoiler but Neri is Neri. She's not projecting an image of how she appeared as a human, she exists physically on the spiritual plane, same as Raz. So her body is just that, her body. There is of course metaphysical differences because they're spirits but just think of them as just on a different plane of reality that partially intersects with the living world. Also a small but nice detail is if you look closely you'll see a glowing teal effect wherever a spirit touches the living world, their body intersecting with it.
But yeah, Neri's Neri. Her dino demon form is a part of her, and the how and why of it gets revealed. Eventually. :)
