Given this world and how the rules work here, something tells me that it may be allowed and tolerated because there also might be the need for it, like there is a bit of a longer lifespan with longer youth that lasts into say their 60s or 70s and that leads to a lower birth rate, and in turn a need for making sure they get the numbers up? That is just a wild scientific guess on my part with no real evidence to back it up.

Also, a long adolescence wouldn't affect a species' birth rate per se, just its generation period.

Thank you on that last part. Really hoping that casual cheating is not a thing in this series. It was fine for the non canon stuff, but hopefully not in the main book.

Aren’t Taiki the twins’s brother? I’m not sure they’re in a romantic relationship because they casually do incest, the bro was just shy about it.
It’s maybe just a separated thing or the sex is just a social acknowledgement in this world, which is common in a furry universe.
