For me it's because we used to have lavender scented air freshener in the bathroom. So I associate the smell of lavender with the smell of shit and urine.

Also it smells terrible on it's own.

Sorry to hear that, boof. I enjoy the scent, but that’s because I’m rarely around it, so it’s pleasant and refreshing for me. But I totally get where you’re coming from.

I like the good-smelling stuff. Unfortunately most lavender scents are of the overly fake and artificial variety that's just awful.
